With the opening of the first Fred Astaire Studio in New York City in 1947, Mr. Astaire's wish to ensure his techniques would be preserved and passed onto the public became a reality. Today, numerous Fred Astaire Dance Studios located in cities throughout North America are required to maintain the highest standards of excellence through our National Dance Board and Fred Astaire Curriculum certification.

From Route 128/95 North
- Take I95/128 North
- Take Exit 28A (Trapelo Road Belmont)
- Bear right at the end of the exit ramp
- Follow Trapelo Road for 5 miles into Belmont
- At the traffic light at Cushing Square (Starbucks Coffee on right) take a hard left onto Common St. (NOT Cushing Avenue which is a soft left)
- Fred Astaire Dance Studio will be on your right, between Health South and Salon de Paris
From Route 128/95 South
- Take I95/128 South
- Take Exit 28 (Trapelo Road Belmont Waltham East)
- Take a left from the exit onto Trapelo Road
- Follow Trapelo Road for 5 miles into Belmont
- At the traffic light at Cushing Square (Starbucks is on the right) take a hard left onto Common St. (do not turn into Cushing Avenue which is a soft left)
- Fred Astaire Dance Studio will be on your right, between Health South and Salon de Paris
From Route 2 East
- Take Route 2 East to Exit 59 (Route 60—Arlington Center/Belmont Center)
- Take a right from the ramp onto Pleasant Street/Rte 60 Belmont
- Follow Pleasant St. approximately 2 miles until it intersects with Trapelo Road
- Take a left onto Trapelo Road (Star Market is on your left and the Getty Station is on the corner) and drive approximately 1 mile
- At the traffic light at Cushing Square (Starbucks is on the right) take a hard left onto Common St. (do not turn into Cushing Avenue which is a soft left)
- Fred Astaire Dance Studio will be on your right, between Health South and Salon de Paris
From Route 2 West
- Take Rt 2 West to Exit 59 (Rt 60 Arlington /Belmont)
- Keep left at the fork and turn left onto Pleasant Street/Route 60 Belmont
- (Follows directions from third bullet of Rte 2 East)
From Boston Via Mt Auburn St.
- Take Mt Auburn Street from Harvard Square towards Watertown, past Fresh Pond Parkway
- Just past Shaws/Starmarket (on the right) bear right onto Belmont Street
- Stay on Belmont Street and it becomes Trapelo Road
- At intersection after Brigham's, Starbucks Coffee is on the left ahead of you
- Turn right onto Common Street before that.
- Fred Astaire Dance Studio will be on your right, between Health South and Salon de Paris
From the Mass Turnpike
- Take Exit 17 Newton/Watertown to Watertown via Centre Street, which becomes Galen Street
- Cross Watertown Sq. to Rt. 16E/Mt. Auburn St.
- Pass Dunkin Donuts & Starbucks and at second light turn left onto Common Street
- Travel approximately 1 mile into Belmont
- Cross Trapelo Road and veer slightly to the left to stay on Common Street
- Fred Astaire Dance Studio will be on your right, between Health South and Salon de Paris
